2010 in hindsight

When love starts out
It's all peachy
I love you, you love me seems easy
It's like a walk in the park
But sometimes it takes an act of my will
And a walk in a park turns to uphill
But I promise to give you my heart

This is one of those entries that is probably more appropriate towards the end of the year, when you reflect on the year that had been. But right now, this weekend has made that time just fitting. Sometimes you live to follow all the rules, to live according to people's expectations of you, but in the end, you still need to make a choice that you feel peaceful with, not only because you feel it...but you believe it. This year has revealed my highest and most lowest points of my life, a year that has tested my character, but a year that has made me stronger than I have before.

January: This photo just sums up the start of 2010. Taken in Kyoto, Japan at the Kyramizudero temple were two people who had dreamed for so long and finally got there. The first month was a real blessing to be able to travel together and take a glimpse into one of the world's most interesting countries to say the least. Oh yes, and also turning 23 was one I've learned taught me to appreciate family, wherever they are. Lesson learned: If all else fails, you can always count on your family.

February: Still living our Japanese trip, for Valentines Day we had dinner at Misuyaki on George Street in search for the famous takoyaki we were craving on a daily basis. Oh were we happy when we discovered it was sold here! Lesson learned: Sometimes, your dreams follow you and you don't need to go far to reach them.

March: Jo & Erick's Wedding. A big affirmation that someone my age, a fellow school friend was getting married. Wake up call for my parents, maybe? :P Thank you bub for taking our picture ;) Lesson learned: I'm getting old.

April: A testing month of many things conquered (meaning, term 1 of the school year) and many things learned. Busy busy busy with bub and his uni assignments and in between a road trip down to our favourite place to get away and visit a dear friend. Before we headed back to the west, we drove up to a cliff and saw Wollongong up high - beautiful coastal view! Oh, and Joy & Kuya Eddoes get married! :D Lesson learned: There is no where you can run from reality, just embrace life wherever you go.
